Mark Lefanowicz to Serve as CEO of Fenway Summer Mortgage Venture

Raj Date, managing partner of Fenway Summer, said that Mark Lefanowicz will join the firm as CEO of its mortgage venture.

From 2004 to 2008, Lefanowicz served as president/CEO of E-Loan, a publicly traded Internet mortgage, home equity and auto lender.

After E-Loan, he served as CFO of Provident Funding Associates, currently the largest wholesale mortgage lender in the United States.

Most recently, Lefanowicz served as the senior vice president responsible for Internet lending at Springleaf Financial, a consumer personal loan lender.

“Mark has a well-deserved reputation for financial savvy and operational excellence,” Date, the former No. 2 at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau who left to form his own firm, said in a press release.

“Time and time again across his career, Mark has helped build institutions, recruited terrific management teams, and generated outstanding investor returns. We’re positive that he is the right leader for our mortgage business.”
