Mortgage-related securities issuance between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30 outpaced levels seen a year ago but volume was slower in the last three months of that period, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.Mortgage-related issuance for the entire three quarter period rose almost 3% to $1.48 trillion, but third quarter volume was $484.9 billion, down 16.4% from a year ago and down 3.4% from the second quarter.
