Huntington Bancshares Inc., Columbus, Ohio, has announced a likely delay in the closing of its merger with Unizan Financial Corp., Canton, Ohio, due to the Federal Reserve Board's extension of its review, partly to assess the Community Reinvestment Act aspects of the merger.The closing date of the merger had been targeted for early July. Huntington said the Fed notified it that the agency needed to complete its review of the merger's CRA implications and to coordinate further with the Securities and Exchange Commission about the SEC's investigation of Huntington, Huntington said.
