MF Joint Venture for Rockwood, Crow

Rockwood Capital LLC and Crow Holdings have invested $200 million in Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC Dallas to create a joint venture to invest in multifamily real estate development, construction and acquisitions.

Mill Creek's management team includes several former Trammell Crow Residential executives.

These include Mill Creek's chief executive Charles R. Brindell Jr.; executive managing director, West, Michael A. Collins; executive managing director, East, William C. MacDonald; chief financial officer Mark R. Dempsey; and executive managing director, national capital markets, Michael Melaugh.

Crow Holdings is an investment firm that owns and directs the investments of the Trammell Crow family.

Separately, Concord Eastridge and Streetsense have created a strategic alliance which will focus on retail and mixed-use property development for universities.

The parties explained universities are seeking new revenue streams as well as to provide extra amenities to prospective and current students and staff, but they lack the expertise to design, fund and build retail centers and mixed-use complexes.

Concord Eastridge focuses on public/private and mixed-use real estate development for colleges, public entities, not-for-profits and other organizations.

Streetsense provides retail consulting services to universities.
