Moody's Investors Service has announced that it is reviewing alternative-A payment-option ARM transactions as part of its wider review of residential mortgage-backed securities. Moody's said the main reason for the review is that many option adjustable-rate mortgage pools are experiencing higher-than-expected rates of delinquency, foreclosure, and real estate owned.
