Gateway Mortgage Group has selected Mortgage Contracting Services to perform field services for its portfolio involving pre-sale and REO assets.
As the privately held mortgage company expands its servicing portfolio, there was a need to hire additional support to manage these properties in order to remain in compliance with national and local regulations, Gateway said.
Mortgage Contracting Services, Tampa, Fla., will provide Gateway with various field services such as occupancy determination and property condition inspections, as well as ongoing preservation services including the monitoring of property ordinances.
“MCS' team has extensive expertise in the property preservation of GSE loans, especially FHA,” said Kevin Osuna, vice president of default services for Tulsa, Okla.-based Gateway Mortgage Group. “With our new subservicing unit specializing in these types of loans, the partnership is a perfect fit.”
Caroline Reaves, CEO of Mortgage Contracting Services, said the field service provider is excited to partner with Gateway to help serve its customers.
