Mortgage Loan Delinquency Rate Fell in November: Black Knight

The rate of mortgage loan delinquencies fell in November, according to Black Knight Financial Services.

The rate fell 18.26% to 4.92% in November, compared to a year earlier. The comparison looks at loans at least 30 days past due, but not in foreclosure.

For U.S. foreclosure presale inventory, the rate fell 21.24% to 1.38%. Total foreclosure starts fell 9.76% to 66,600.

Mississippi led all states by noncurrent percentage, with 12.57% of mortgages noncurrent. It was followed by New Jersey, Louisiana, New York and Maine.

North Dakota had the smallest percentage in foreclosure at 2.21%, followed by Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota and South Dakota.
