American Home Mortgage Investment Corp., a real estate investment trust based in Melville, N.Y., has announced a public offering of 2 million shares of series B cumulative redeemable preferred stock.The underwriters have been granted an option to buy up to 300,000 additional shares to cover any overallotments, the mortgage REIT said.
