MuniMae Set to Resume Trading Wednesday

Municipal Mortgage & Equity LLC has resolved an administrative proceeding by the Securities and Exchange Commission that had temporarily suspended its trading and its common shares are set to restart trading on Oct. 2.

“As the result of the deregistration and subsequent reregistration of the company’s common shares, the company has resolved the filing deficiencies that were the subject of the SEC action,” MuniMae said late Monday in a press release.

“Our shares will resume on Wednesday following the end of the trading suspension on Tuesday evening at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time,” said company CEO Michael Falcone in a statement issued by the company.
