The National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Distributive Education Clubs of America have announced a partnership to foster financial literacy among high school and college students and to promote career opportunities in the financial services industry.The DECA/NAMB partnership will develop a financial literacy curriculum to be taught in DECA's 5,000 high school and college chapters across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The program will also provide information on career paths, as well as employment and internship opportunities for DECA's 200,000 members, and a national scholarship program. "Financial literacy is essential to succeeding in our industry," said NAMB president Jim Nabors II. "NAMB's partnership with DECA will help educate the next generation of mortgage brokers, lenders, and homebuyers."
