“The decision to change the name of the NAWRB acronym was a product of the evolution of the real estate industry, starting over two years ago with our trademark tag line, SHE (Specializing in the Housing Economy) is Changing Real Estate,”’ said Desire Patno, CEO of NAWRB. “The new name embodies all women that work within the housing economy.”
According to NAWRB, the company’s new focus is already paying off as more members have joined, along with additional sponsors, advocates, and advertisers. NAWRB provides its members with information and guidance for obtaining government contracts, new business opportunities, social media support, branding, education and Women-Owned Business and Minority Women-Owned Business certifications.
Despite the name change, the trade association that advocates for federal initiatives to increase the utilization of women-owned businesses and works with financial institutions to encourage greater visibility of certified women-owned businesses to vendor networks, will still go by NAWRB.
