Community Bank & Trust is auctioning approximately 60 properties, both commercial and residential assets, early next month in Georgia and North Carolina.
The Oct. 9 auction will include real estate in 22 Georgia counties, with most of the properties located to the north and northeast of Atlanta. There will be numerous home sites as well as tracts of commercial land up for sale that prospective buyers can bid on.
Besides the surplus of assets up for auction like a restaurant in Jasper, a condominium in Athens, a former day care in Habersham County, and an office/warehouse facility in Commerce, there will also be 22 acres of commercial land auctioned in Fairview, N.C.
Atlanta-based John Dixon & Associates is marketing the properties and managing the sale. John Dixon, president of the auction company, said all but six of the assets in the auction will sell absolute, with no minimum or reserve.
“The economy just keeps improving, and homebuilders are starting to realize there may not be a lot more time to get lots for future construction at today’s prices,” Dixon stated.
The auction will take place at the Robson Event Center, located in Gainesville, Ga., beginning at 11 a.m.
