ClosingCorp said that Kristin Henke has joined the company as senior director of operations.

Henke joins ClosingCorp from Wells Fargo, where she most recently served as vice president, business liaison consultant for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

In this role, she assumed the role of a third-party risk relationship manager for title underwriter vendors.

CrossCheck Compliance said that Monika McCarthy has joined the firm as a managing director and general counsel to help expand the company’s presence nationally.

McCarthy, who will be based in Southern California, joins CrossCheck from Stonegate Mortgage Corp.

Previously she has been general counsel for Cove Financial Group, Stearns Lending and New Century Mortgage Corp.

American Capital Mortgage Investment Corp. said that its board of directors elected Gary Kain, the company's president and chief investment officer, to the additional position of chief executive officer and that he has joined the company's board of directors.

In addition, the board has elected director Alvin Puryear as its nonexecutive chair.

In their new positions, Kain and Puryear replace Malon Wilkus, who is also leaving the company's board, effective immediately.

Citigroup said that Jeff Perlowitz, who helped build the market for mortgage-backed securities, is retiring after more than three decades on Wall Street.

Perlowitz announced his plan last week to step down as co-head of the New York-based bank's unit that trades bonds backed by assets such as home loans and credit-card debt.

Perlowitz spent 35 years at the firm and its predecessors, and in 1997 began sharing duties for mortgage trading and then, more broadly, securitized markets with Mark Tsesarsky, who will continue as sole head of the unit.

Perlowitz joined Salomon Brothers in 1980, where he worked in the back office for Lewis Ranieri.

Ditech Financial has hired Steve Stein to lead its consumer lending division.

Stein most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and mass market sales for CoreLogic.

Prior to joining CoreLogic, he served as senior vice president of retail lending for both Ally Financial/GMAC Mortgage and Washington Mutual Bank, and spent nearly a decade at CitiMortgage where he served as senior vice president of wholesale lending, retail lending, and national sales and marketing.

TEXAS

CalyxSoftware said that Bob Dougherty has joined the company as vice president of business development.

Dougherty has more than 20 years of operational and business development experience in the mortgage industry.

Most recently, he was vice president of mortgage operations at Merchants Bank in Winona, Minn., where he led operation and secondary marketing functions for its mortgage banking division.
