Walter Investment Management Corp. said that Daniel Beltzman, co-founder of Birch Run Capital Advisors, has been appointed chairman of the company's board of directors.
The company's current chairman, Mark O'Brien, will continue to serve on the Board as a director.
The company also said that David Schneider, executive vice president of Walter Investment and president of Ditech Financial, has been appointed chief operating.

Stonegate Mortgage Corp. appointed Michael Giampaolo as executive vice president of Stonegate Direct.
Giampaolo joins Stonegate Direct from IMPAC Mortgage Co., where he served as vice president of consumer direct lending.
Prior to that, he has held positions at Mission Hills Mortgage, Financial Freedom, IndyMac Bank and Washington Mutual Bank.

Stephen Bachman has joined Mortgage Network Inc. as a branch manager in the company's Wildwood, N.J., office.
In his new role, Bachman will be responsible for serving homebuyers and homeowners throughout the Philadelphia and Jersey Shore areas.
Bachman most recently served as a loan originator for EverBank.
Ward Kerlin has rejoined Mortgage Network as a senior loan officer in the company's Conshohocken, Pa., branch office.
Kerlin will be responsible for serving borrowers and homeowners throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
He has also served as a senior loan officer at JPMorgan Chase and as a home mortgage consultant at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Mission Capital Advisors has hired William Horning as a director with the residential mortgage group.
Prior to joining Mission Capital Advisors, he served as a vice president with Morgan Stanley, handling contract finance duties and conduit implementation for the firm's residential mortgage trading desk.
Horning worked previously in similar capacities as an associate director with Five Mile Capital Partners and a director with UBS.

The Greystone Bassuk Group said that Paul Fried has joined the company as executive managing director.
In this new role, he will be responsible for expanding the company's equity capital advisory business.
Fried joins Greystone from L&L Holding Co., where he headed the company's capital raising activities.
Previously, he worked at Deutsche Banc Mortgage Capital and was director of the CMBS group.

Arbor Commercial Mortgage has appointed Collin Downey as vice president of sales in the company's Irvine, Calif., office.
Downey will be responsible for originating loans under all of Arbor's multifamily and commercial product lines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, bridge, CMBS and mezzanine financing.
Prior to joining Arbor, he served as a senior loan officer at Fidelity Commercial Funding.
