LRES has named Mark Johnson as its chief strategy.

Johnson has more than 20 years of industry experience and prior to LRES he served as division president of Nationstar Mortgage Holdings.

Previously he served as division president and chief operating officer of Lender Processing Services (now known as Black Knight Financial Services).

GEORGIA

Berkadia has hired Kathleen Cohen as a director to its HUD financing team.

She brings more than nine years of mortgage banking experience to the firm's Atlanta office.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Cohen spent six years with Prudential Mortgage Capital Co. where she originated FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans and supported the firm's affordable housing platform.

KANSAS

OVERLAND PARK

United States Appraisals has hired David Wegmann and John Powell as business development managers.

Wegmann, based in the Chicago area, brings with him to USA more than 20 years of industry experience.

Before joining USA, he held sales management positions with Nadlan Valuation, Buyers Access, and Spectrus Real Estate Group.

Powell, who will work out of the Charlotte, N.C., area, previously owned Bedford Paulownia Partners.

His 25 years in the industry include positions with Coester Valuation Management Services, Virginia Equity Partners, Alliance Home Funding, Presidential Savings Bank and Preferred Mortgage Group.

Walker & Dunlop Inc. said that Matt Naish has joined its multifamily finance group as senior vice president.

Based out of the company's San Francisco office, Naish will use Walker & Dunlop's relationships with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to originate multifamily loans.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, he was director of affordable housing finance at Berkeley Point Capital.

NEW JERSEY

BLOOMFIELD

Reverse Mortgage Funding said that Geoffrey Wallace has joined its distributed retail team as Western regional manager.

Wallace, who has held reverse mortgage positions with Citibank and Bank of America, is based in Sacramento, Calif.

Among his primary responsibilities will be recruiting industry talent to RMF and building out its sales force on the West Coast.

Karl Seus has been promoted to administrative vice president and group manager of commercial real estate for M&T Bank's New York metro area region.

Seus has been with M&T since 2007 and has been involved in the commercial real estate industry for almost three decades.

Prior to joining M&T Bank, he was a first vice president and relationship manager in the New York office of HSBC Bank USA.
