Promontory MortgagePath has hired Jordan Higgins and Kim Joyce as regional vice presidents in the sales division.

Prior to Promontory MortgagePath, Higgins spent five years as vice president of correspondent sales at Verus Mortgage Capital. She also served at Lenders One as a relationship manager before earning a promotion to director of the Southeast region.

Most recently, Joyce was a business development executive at Opus Capital Markets Consultants. She has also served in business development roles at Computershare Loan Services, ISGN, LenderLive Network and Fiserv.

LBA Ware has hired veteran fintech executive Matt Semrad as a machine learning engineer.

Prior to partnering with LBA Ware, Semrad spent more than a decade as COO, CIO and SVP of Equifax's workforce solutions and enabling technologies divisions.

Previously, he served as COO of Appro Systems, a provider of loan origination software.

Total Expert has named Matt Tippets as its new chief product officer.

In this newly created role, Tippets will lead product strategy, product management, design, product marketing and program management.

With nearly 20 years of experience in enterprise cloud-based software, he most recently served as vice president of product for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

The Gateway First Bank board of directors has appointed Scott Gesell as chief executive officer and general counsel for the bank. He will also join the board of directors as a director.

Gesell has served as CEO on an interim basis since April 3. Prior to becoming CEO, he was chief administrative officer and general counsel for the bank.

Before joining the Gateway team in 2013, his senior roles included positions with Colorado National Bancorp, American Residential Communities, First Nationwide Bank, First Madison Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.

BSI Financial Services has promoted John Lawrence to president of servicing and lender services and Larry Goldstone to president of capital markets and lending.

A 20-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Lawrence previously served as BSI's executive vice president and chief servicing officer. Prior to joining the company, he held senior executive positions at PIMCO, PennyMac, Wells Fargo and IndyMac Bank.

Goldstone previously led BSI's mortgage servicing rights strategy as executive vice president of capital markets. Prior to joining BSI, he was founder and CEO of Aventur Partners. He was also the co-founder, CEO and president of Thornburg Mortgage.
