Cloudvirga has promoted Daniel Sogorka to chief executive officer.

Sogorka, who joined Cloudvirga as chief revenue officer in January this year, has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Prior to joining Cloudvirga, Sogorka was president of EXOS Technologies and executive vice president of Servicelink, a subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial.

OpenClose has hired Allen Pollack in the newly created position of vice president of product innovation.

Allen has more than 15 years of industry experience and comes to OpenClose from Fiserv where he was responsible for multiple fintech initiatives.

He was a co-founder of NYLX, serving as chief technology officer where he introduced new technology in the mortgage lending space. He later continued as chief technology officer of LoanLogics, a new regtech company created by NYLX.

Blank Rome LLP said that Scott Samlin has joined the firm as a partner in the consumer financial services group in the New York office.

Samlin represents financial institutions, corporations, and other entities, providing regulatory counsel related to mortgage banking and consumer financial services matters.

He joins Blank Rome from Pepper Hamilton LLP, where he was a partner in the firm's financial services practice group and leader of the consumer financial services and bank regulatory practice.

Williston Financial Group has appointed Linda Vo, Melanie Cornelius and Monique Winston as vice presidents of business development for WFG's enterprise solutions division.

A 20-year-plus mortgage industry veteran, Vo served as director of business development with Movement Mortgage prior to joining WFG. She has also served with Citi and Bank of America.

Cornelius has held positions in the mortgage and real estate industries for more than 25 years. Prior to joining WFG, she served as vice president of business development with business process management provider SLK Global Solutions.

Prior to joining WFG, Winston served as CEO of Optima Lender Services in Cleveland, and prior to that as senior vice president and senior underwriting counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Co.

Equity National Title has named Mike Krone as its new senior vice president, corporate development.

In his new role, Krone will focus on corporate development, especially in his native Massachusetts market.

Krone has served the real estate and settlement services industry for over 35 years as a practicing attorney.

He was most recently an executive vice president with commercial real estate financing firm Universal Capital. Before that, Krone served as a co-owner and COO for a national closing and escrow company.
