Cloudvirga, a provider of digital mortgage software, has appointed Ashley Lundquist as vice president of talent.

Lundquist brings to Cloudvirga a decade of experience in talent acquisition and employer brand development having previously served with home-design platform Houzz and e-commerce platform Drip.

Stephen Wagner of West Lafayette, Ind., began his one-year term as president of the Appraisal Institute on Jan. 1.

The Appraisal Institute's other elected officers for 2019 are President-Elect Jefferson Sherman of Highland Heights, Ohio, Vice President Rodman Schley of Arvada, Colo., and Immediate Past President James Murrett of Hamburg, N.Y.

Wagner has served on the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors and as chair of the Finance Committee and vice chair of the Professional Standards and Guidance Committee.

He is a senior appraiser in the appraisal firm of Terzo & Bologna Inc., in Indianapolis.

Dynex Capital Inc. has elected David Stevens to the company's board of directors effective Jan. 1. He has also been appointed to the investment committee of the board.

Stevens most recently served as the President and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association for the past seven years. In 2009, he was called on to serve in the Obama administration and, after being confirmed by the U.S. Senate, served as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner until 2011.

Prior to this, he held the position of president and chief operating officer of the Long & Foster Cos., including the core real estate company and all affiliated businesses of mortgage, settlement services and insurance.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler has hired Drew Heitstuman as a director focused on debt and equity placement transactions in its Seattle office.

Heitstuman joins HFF from Jones Lang Lasalle where he was an associate in its capital markets group, and prior to that, he worked as an analyst at Marcus & Millichap.
