Paramount Equity Mortgage has appointed Nino Saso as executive vice president of retail lending for Paramount Partners Group.

Saso, a 28-year veterean of the mortgage space, most recently served as a divisional president for Prospect Mortgage.

Prior to Prospect, he held various sales leadership roles at GMAC Mortgage and Pacific Republic Mortgage.

New American Funding has appointed Zeeda Daniele to oversee its community lending division.

Daniele will serve as the community lending and strategic partnerships national manager.

In this role, she will establish nationwide partnerships with nonprofits and community banks in order to provide affordable loan programs and homebuyer education to housing consumers.

Hunt Mortgage Group has opened a new production office in Charlotte, N.C., which will be led Jonathan Mettel.

As vice president, Mettel will be responsible for originating small balance and conventional agency business as well as placing Hunt Mortgage Group's proprietary products in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

Prior to joining Hunt Mortgage Group, he served as vice president, regional business development officer, at PennyMac Commercial Real Estate Finance.

LendingTree has promoted Sam Mischner to chief sales officer and head of mortgage.

Mischner, who joined LendingTree in 2013, previously served as senior vice president, sales and general manager, mortgage.

He began his career in the mortgage industry as a loan officer before founding his own mortgage company, which he merged and later sold.

Embrace Home Loans said that Patrick Mullen has joined the national lender as its new director of recruiting.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience in executive search and corporate talent acquisition with a strong background working with both national and local mortgage lenders, Mullen held previous positions at Service First Mortgage, PNC Mortgage and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

WISCONSIN

Pete Salamone has joined Waterstone Mortgage as a regional manager overseeing the company's growth and recruiting efforts in the southeastern Wisconsin area.

Salamone began his mortgage banking career in 1994 and has worked for several mortgage lenders in Wisconsin.

His previous roles include national director of business development for Inlanta Mortgage, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's talent acquisition efforts, and director of production and sales manager for Paragon Home Lending.
