PeerStreet has appointed John Devereux as chief real estate officer. He will be based in the firm's headquarters in Los Angeles.

Devereux brings over 28 years of real estate equity and debt experience including six years as EVP, head of commercial real estate at OneWest Bank and nine years as principal at Colony Capital.

SAN FRANCISCO

HFF said that Rick Salinas has joined the firm as a director focused on multihousing debt and equity placement transactions in its San Francisco office.

Salinas has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and joins HFF from Berkadia.

Previously, he worked for 10 years at Wells Fargo with positions in the multifamily capital group and the capital markets group.

Planet Financial Group, a privately held mortgage lender and servicer, said that Michael Kula has joined the company as chief operating officer.

Most recently, Kula was a division president at ServiceLink, where he led the company's title and origination businesses.

Before ServiceLink, he was global managing director of mortgage business development at IBM.

IndiSoft has named Steven Usserey as its new vice president of regulatory compliance.

Usserey, who has more than 25 years of experience in mortgage banking and technology, most recently was a senior analyst at BackIntheBlack, a default servicing technology provider.

At BackIntheBlack, he was responsible for client/vendor management, testing and reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Metropolitan Bank Holding Corp., the holding company for Metropolitan Commercial Bank, said that Scott Lublin has been named to the position of executive vice president and chief lending officer

Lublin is a senior banking industry executive with more than 30 years of experience in banking, primarily focused on commercial real estate lending. He returns to the bank after previously serving as senior vice president of the commercial real estate business from 2008 until 2013.

Most recently, Lublin was an EVP at BankUnited, where he managed its New York commercial real estate lending group.

New American Funding has opened a new Charlotte branch, which will be managed by Oscar Reto.

Reto has more than 15 years of mortgage experience as a loan officer and branch manager and was the founder and first president of NAHREP Charlotte.
