Stephen Sherman has joined Mortgage Quality Management and Research as chief operating officer.

Sherman has more than 30 years of experience in mortgage servicing, secondary marketing, warehouse lending, commercial real estate sales, corporate consulting and REO management.

Previously he founded Sherman Consulting, a mortgage and real estate consulting firm that specialized in managerial coaching and risk assessment reviews.

San Francisco

The board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco has promoted Greg Ward to executive vice president and chief risk officer and promoted Arlene Coyle to senior vice president and chief audit executive, the role most recently held by Ward.

Ward oversees the bank's risk, compliance and governance framework. He joined the bank in November 2013 as vice president, internal audit, and was promoted to deputy director in June 2016 and to director in 2017.

Coyle is responsible for managing the bank's internal audit function. She joined the bank in February 2016 as assistant vice president, internal audit, and was promoted to vice president in February 2017.

Guaranteed Rate has hired Dominick Marchetti to lead its product innovation agenda.

Marchetti brings to Guaranteed Rate two decades of experience in the mortgage and financial sectors, and has spent much of his career building and leading IT teams.

Prior to joining Guaranteed Rate, he served as chief technology officer at loanDepot.

Before loanDepot, Marchetti was chief operating officer at Blueberry Systems, responsible for product development and the day-to-day operations of the company.

Massachusetts

Mortgage Network Inc. has hired Jeffrey Gable as a loan officer in its York, Pa., branch.

He is a mortgage industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience originating loans at the local, regional and national level.

A former national sales support leader at Mortgage Network, Gable most recently served as a branch manager with GMH Mortgage Services in Bedford, Pa.

Tennessee

Nashville

Rick Trew has been named vice president/market manager of Bell Bank Mortgage.

Tennessee is the newest market for Bell's mortgage division where Trew will be responsible for recruiting mortgage lenders, developing brand awareness and building business in the Nashville area.

Prior to joining Bell, he held positions at Fifth Third Bank, in national sales with iServe Residential Lending, and as vice president of mortgage for Republic Bank in Tennessee and Florida.
