Realty Income Corp. said that Sumit Roy has been named senior vice president, real estate acquisitions.

Prior to joining Realty Income, Roy was an investment banker in New York for nine years, and most recently was an executive director in the global real estate, lodging and leisure group for UBS Investment Bank.

Prior to his tenure at UBS, he held positions as manager, corporate finance for Meadwestvaco, an associate, technology investment banking at Merrill Lynch, and as a principal at Cap Gemini.

IRVINE

Opus Bank said that Michael Allison joined the executive management team as executive vice president, chief credit officer.

Allison's 33-year banking career has focused on credit related to commercial banking, including asset-based lending, C&I, multifamily residential and commercial real estate lending.

He joins the Bank most recently from Cascade, where he served as executive vice president and chief credit officer since September 2009.

From 2001 to 2009, Allison held executive positions at Washington Mutual, where he initially joined as executive vice president, senior credit officer of WaMu Commercial.

NEWPORT BEACH

Sabal Financial Group, formerly Milestone Asset Resolution Co., appointed Rick Brown as portfolio manager.

Brown will oversee all of the firm's residential acquisition, development and construction loan portfolios.

Prior to his position with Sabal Financial Group, he served as REO department manager at California Bank and Trust.

Brown also previously served as a partner of Allied Management Partners overseeing management, operations and company profitability, and served as vice president at William Lyon Homes.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

WASHINGTON

Michael L. Stevens has been promoted to senior executive vice president of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.

As senior executive vice president, he will oversee all policy development and financial supervision issues for CSBS.

Stevens succeeds John W. Ryan, who was promoted to president and CEO of CSBS on Sept 1.

Stevens first joined CSBS in 1999, and worked in all facets of the professional development division before being named senior vice president of regulatory policy in 2005.

He began his career as a bank examiner for the Iowa Division of Banking, a post he held for 11 years.

ILLINOIS

CHICAGO

Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund said that senior vice president and general counsel, Augie Butera, was installed as president of the Illinois Land Title Association.

Also, ATG's Arden Miner, senior manager, underwriting and escrow, was elected to ILTA's board of directors for a three-year term.

Both Butera and Miner were officially installed at a formal ceremony during ILTA's 2011 annual convention in Springfield.

As a SVP and general counsel for ATG, Butera manages ATG's legal and escrow departments, and handles title insurance claims and litigation.

He is also president of ATG subsidiary, The Judicial Sales Corp.

Miner joined ATG's legal department in 2001 and is responsible for preparing underwriting guidelines and procedures.

She also manages ATG's escrow department, where she oversees construction escrows, tax payments and title indemnities.

The Hopp Law Firm, a national provider of commercial and creditor legal services, promoted Cynthia Nierer to managing attorney.

She will have the primary responsibility of overseeing The Hopp Law Firm's New York office.

Nierer joined the firm in March of this year as a supervising attorney and has quickly proven herself as a valued asset.

She has been representing banking clients in the real estate and mortgage default industry since 1995.

Rockwood Real Estate Advisors hired Christopher Turner as managing director.

Turner is responsible for national investment sales, debt placement/advisory and structured equity placements with a concentration in major commercial equities—office, industrial and retail properties.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate investments as a fiduciary consultant, advisor and intermediary.

Prior to joining Rockwood, Turner was a 10-year veteran of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, serving as senior managing director, responsible for oversight and growth of their Atlanta office.

NORTH CAROLINA

CHARLOTTE

Pappas Properties appointed Alan Dean vice president of multifamily development.

In his new role, Dean will the multifamily division from a new office in Atlanta and will be charged with expanding the division's operations to markets throughout the Southeast.

He previously served as a senior managing director for Trammell Crow Residential for six years, leading that firm's Atlanta-based Southeast division.

PENNSYLVANIA

HORSHAM

Berkadia said that Daniel Biron has joined the firm as a senior vice president to serve as co-head of health care financing with Stephen Ervin, who joined the firm in August.

He will oversee all loan originations for the health care and senior housing industry through Berkadia's agency financing and proprietary lending programs.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Biron worked at Walker & Dunlop, where he served as senior vice president and group head of health care finance responsible for origination of senior debt financing through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD for the senior housing industry nationwide.

Christopher Fenton, vice president, mortgage banker, has also joined the firm.

Fenton will be based in Lenox, Mass., and will be responsible for health care financing production in the Northeast region.

Prior to joining Berkadia, he was a vice president at Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage and a vice president at Love Funding, specializing in health care.

TENNESSEE

BRENTWOOD

Churchill Mortgage named Don Baskin as its newest area manager.

In his role, he will be responsible for opening new retail branches throughout middle Tennessee.

Baskin brings more than 37 years of mortgage banking experience to Churchill Mortgage.

As senior vice president and mid-South regional manager for Bank of America Mortgage, he managed 26 mortgage offices across Georgia and Tennessee for nearly 30 years.
