Potential Transaction Still Driving FNF, LPS Stocks Higher

Investors continue to show support for Fidelity National Financial in its reported bid for Lender Processing Service, as the stock gained an additional 1.67% on Friday. For the second day in a row, it was the best performing Mortgage Industry Equity Composite stock.

LPS, which is not an MIEC stock, increased 0.11% from Thursday.

OceanFirst Financial was up 0.71% and Bank of Hawaii increased 0.69%.

On the loss side, Radian was off 2.01%, followed by CoreLogic, down 1.73%, and MGIC Investment Corp., down 1.63%.

Meanwhile, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac both recorded gains of over 40% as these stocks now inch closer to $3 per share. Fannie Mae closed at $2.97 per share and Freddie Mac at $2.81.
