Private Bank of Buckhead, Atlanta, is expanding and rebranding its mortgage unit, which will now be called Private Mortgage Solutions.
The company hired Dan Smith, most recently the founding member of BrightPath Mortgage LLC, to run the business.
Private Mortgage Solutions offers most of the usual products as well as investment loans, second home loans, construction financing, financing which permits multiple collateral, fixed-rate second loans, lot loans and more.
Private Bank of Buckhead opened for business in December 2006. The mortgage unit was established in 2010.

The bank’s clients benefit from a heightened level of service that others only reserve for a certain few, says president, chief executive and chairman Charlie Crawford.
Besides Buckhead, Private Mortgage Solutions is also present in the bank’s affiliate Private Bank of Decatur (Ga.).
The advantage of teaming with Private Bank is that the mortgage unit can offer customers tailored solutions in both banking and home lending, Smith says.
