Radian, NAHREP Sign Training Agreement

The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals has signed a two-year agreement with Radian Guaranty Inc. for the private mortgage insurer to provide training on MI solutions to the trade group’s members.

This program will include on-demand training, face-to-face sessions, video and interactive webinars so that NAHREP’s member real estate agents and mortgage lenders can teach their clientele about private MI.

Juan Martinez, NAHREP’s president, said, “As more Latinos buy homes, these families who do not have the requisite 20% downpayment will need private mortgage insurance. Our members must be able to educate buyers on this product.”

NAHREP quoted data from the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies which states 40% of the 17 million new households already formed or to be formed between 2010 and 2025 are (or are expected to be) Latino.
