A Frostburg, Md. home will be available for purchase during a public real estate auction on March 24 conducted by Rawlings Auction, Appraisal & Realty.
According to auctioneer Steve Rawlings, this property would be a “lovely” family home or an “excellent” investment opportunity. Rawlings said the home is going to be sold for at least $50,000.
The Allegheny County home has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The first floor offers a kitchen, new laundry room, living room, dining room, full bathroom and mud room. The second floor consists of the four bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Additional features of the home include an unfinished walk-out basement with a storage room on one side, there is a shed on the property and a two-car detached garage that is partially heated and could be used as a workshop with an upstairs for storage.
Many windows have been recently replaced, as well as fresh paint and new carpeting.
“It’s in excellent move-in ready condition,” Rawlings said about the property.
Frostburg is a small college town and the auction company said an investor could rent the home out for $16,000 a year or more as student housing. According to the full-service auction firm that is licensed to conduct business in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, off-campus rental housing costs at least $2,000, not including utilities, for a student every semester.
Broker participation is welcomed and they will share in the commission, the company said. The property will be shown during the scheduled open house on auction day.
