Realogy acquires title agency in push for more CRE business

Realogy's Title Resource Group is acquiring the assets of New York title company EAM Land Services as part of a strategy to strengthen its presence in commercial title services and its new TRG Commercial division.

"We saw a strategic opportunity to reach across our local operations in 40 markets and align our commercial title operations into one division under Cheryl Baillis' leadership, while also adding an essential component to our national commercial strategy by acquiring a well-established presence in New York from which to grow our national commercial business," said TRG president and CEO Don Casey.

"EAM Land Services is a well-positioned company with strong leaders, and we are proud they will be a catalyst for our new national commercial title services division, TRG Commercial," he continued.

TRG will merge its existing Skyline Title operations with EAM Land Services and, pending customary regulatory approval, will form Pro National Title Agency.

"This is a win-win situation, in which all of the parties involved will benefit from the creation of Pro National Title Agency, as part of TRG Commercial, we will be able to leverage TRG and its national network to help serve our commercial title clients coast to coast," said Eric Fein, former owner and founder of EAM Land Services, and current co-CEO of Pro National Title Agency.

Baillis helped TRG develop strategic plans for national commercial expansion by aligning local markets within the company's footprint. She joined TRG in late 2016 and was appointed president of TRG Commercial.
