Regions Financial Offers New Tool to Protect Against Identity Theft

With millions of people having their identity stolen every year, Regions Financial Corp. has developed a new product to help its customers guard against identity theft.

Regions IdentityProtect is part of the Regions Financial Corp.’s suite of protection services, providing three services including protection, detection and resolution of identity theft.

For $5 a month, Regions IdentityProtect can safeguard identity by using the Triple-Bureau Credit Report, the Card Patrol, and the insurance and support services.

With the Triple-Bureau Credit Alert, customers receive 24-hour credit monitoring of all three credit reporting agencies. Customers can also obtain notification alerts of certain changes to their credit reports.

The Card Patrol is a special online tool allowing customers to register up to 10 debit or credit cards. Security experts proactively search real-time transactions on the cards for any usage that could potentially be fraudulent. If there is any sign of fraud, customers are notified of the questionable usage within 24 hours.

By enrolling in the Regions IdentityProtect program, customers are automatically eligible for the $2,500 in identity theft Insurance. This money covers qualified expenses incurred in the recovery of a stolen identity.
