Green River Capital, an REO asset management and loss mitigation provider, has fulfilled requests from real estate agents by creating a mobile device application.
By using the REOConnex app, agents can view all properties assigned to them and view details and pictures stored in the application. The app also allows agents to search for properties nationwide that are managed by GRC in order to complete an occupancy inspection and receive notifications regarding task assignments.
An occupancy inspection determines whether the property is vacant and therefore ready to be marketed or if it is not vacant and needs additional tasks before selling the asset.
GRC requires agents to take pictures of all the properties during these occupancy inspections, so the application allows the agents to submit all the information directly from their mobile technology device along with the report without going back to their office or logging onto a nearby computer.
“It is a not only a time saver for the agent, but for employees internally as well as our clients. The sooner the agent can get the occupancy inspection information to us, the sooner we can act on the property, thereby shaving days off the asset management process,” said Lorenz Schwarz, COO of Green River Capital.
Schwarz said there are plans to have a Windows Phone 7 version available in early September and an Android version in the beginning of October. The company is also looking to add more features and functionality to the application, including ongoing asset inspections that agents perform on the properties and an option for an agent to submit an offer from a prospective homebuyer.
