It has hired Chris Derrow as president of the new division. Most recently Derrow was president of Columbus-based Trident Holdings, the managing partner of HER Realtors. Prior to joining Trident, Derrow was a regional vice president for Wells Fargo.
Residential Finance became the preferred mortgage lender for HER effective this week and its loan officers will be located in the 60 HER offices in central Ohio, Dayton and Cincinnati.

“By situating loan officers in each HER office, both the customer and the real estate agent have immediate access to the loan officer. This creates a streamlined home buying experience with greater communication, so customers can close on their homes faster and with greater ease.”
Derrow’s new position was designed in tandem with the creation of the relationship between the two companies. He said, “Many of the industry’s leading brokerages and builders are uniquely positioned to offer core services to their clients, such as mortgage and title insurance. Unfortunately, they cannot consistently provide these services with the desired high level of efficiency and professionalism, nor at a cost lower than their competitors.”
