The 40,000 square-foot facility in Mentor, which is approximately 30 miles away from the company's main headquarters in Valley View, will be the place that 100 employees will work from. The employees consist of 60 recently hired workers in addition to 40 that will transfer from the 75,000 square-foot headquarters building.

The new facility has the capacity to hold 400 individuals.

“The Mentor location is a perfect venue to ease some of the current space constraints at our headquarters, in addition to serving as a business continuity site in the event of a business disruption,” said Alan Jaffa, CEO of Safeguard Properties.

Safeguard Properties currently has approximately 900 employees. In addition, the field services company has a network of thousands of contractors across the nation.

The company inspects and maintains defaulted and foreclosed properties for banks, mortgage companies, investors and other financial institutions.
