The Securities and Exchange Commission has voted to adopt new and amended rules and forms related to asset-backed securities.The Bond Market Association and its affiliate, the American Securitization Forum, expressed some preliminary support for the ABS move, but said they might have further feedback after they have had more time to review it. The SEC also has published for public comment a "reproposed" national market system regulation that contains "revisions of four interrelated proposals designed to modernize the regulatory structure of the U.S. equity markets."
