Sierra Pacific Mortgage is expanding its retail branch network and added 13 new branch offices in the first quarter.
“We are extremely pleased that such a strong group of mortgage bankers and their organizations have chosen to join the Sierra Pacific team,” said Chuck Iverson, vice president of production. “Our commitment to being a national leader in retail lending continues to be our primary focus.”
SPM is based in Folsom, Calif., and six of the new net branches are in California. The other new branches are in Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Massachusetts, Colorado and North Carolina.
“After looking at several different mortgage banker programs, we selected Sierra Pacific because their program, products, process and people really impressed us and enable us to focus more of our time in the origination process,” said Benny Poole, a new SPM branch manager in Woodstock, Md.
The mortgage banking company currently has 122 retail branches.
In 2012, Sierra Pacific Mortgage originated $7.3 billion in single-family loans, including $1.8 billion through its retail channel, according to the
