He said his time at Rocket was one of the most meaningful chapters of his career, which also included turns as the CEO at Sagent and at Cloudvirga.

"It's also been a meaningful season personally, with one son at San Diego State, another finishing high school, and a two-year-old daughter experiencing so many firsts," Sogorka said in a statement provided by Rocket. "While I've loved my time in Detroit and meeting partners across the country, it feels right to be more present with my family in San Diego."

Austin Niemiec, Rocket Mortgage's chief revenue officer, will be returning to the third party unit.

Niemiec will retain the CRO title but his duties have shifted and he will no longer have any responsibility for Rocket's retail business.

The three EVPs at Rocket Pro, Mike Fawaz, Katie Sweeney and Cory Scholl, will also remain in their current roles.

"I'm honored to return to Rocket Pro and champion the brokers who make homeownership possible in the communities they serve," Niemiec said in the Rocket statement. "Together with Katie, Cory, Fawaz and the broader team, we'll deepen partnerships and drive faster, more impactful outcomes for loan officers and homebuyers alike."

Rocket's partner network segment had sold loan volume of $13.7 billion for the third quarter and $36.3 billion for the first nine months of 2025, compared with $12.5 billion and $31.5 billion respectively.

In comparison, United Wholesale Mortgage in the third quarter alone did $41.7 billion.
