Stewart Information Services Corp., Houston, has announced the acquisition by its subsidiary Stewart Title Co. of Platte County Title & Abstract, Platte City, Mo.The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Stewart said key management and staff will remain with the office, which is located near Kansas City, Mo. "This strategic acquisition gives us explosive potential in one of the fastest-growing counties in the area," said Bud Whisler, group president of Stewart Title's Central States Region, South.
