Stewart Information Services Corp., Houston, has announced the formation of a new entity, Stewart REI Data Inc., to provide information to title agents, lenders, real estate agents and brokers, and federal, state, and local governments.The parent company said the new unit's business will focus on data access, data and application integration, and product distribution. Max Harris and Steve Otto have been named division presidents of Stewart REI Data, with the former concentrating on the market and the latter on operations and databases. The move "allows us to provide more consistent direction to our REI product lines and to expand our market presence," said Don O'Neill, group president of the new company.
