Patrick Thesing has been named the chief compliance officer for Houston-based Stewart Information Services Corp.
Thesing has worked at the title insurance company for more than 19 years.
As CCO, he will be responsible for the development of Stewart's corporate compliance and risk management programs. This includes communicating, institutionalizing and monitoring standards and procedures across the company to maintain compliance and manage risk throughout all areas.
Thesing, whose background is in compliance, commercial litigation and regulatory matters, also will handle complex litigation matters as the CCO.
“Previously serving as litigation counsel, Patrick is a natural transition into the role of Stewart's chief compliance officer,” said Mike Skalka, chief legal officer at Stewart Information Services.
Earlier this month, Matt Morris, the chief executive at Stewart Information Services, appointed seven individuals for the company's new executive team.
