Mike Skalka has been named chairman of the international group of Stewart Information Services Corp., Houston, and elected chairman of three wholly owned Stewart subsidiaries.In addition, Stewart Morris Sr. has been appointed chairman emeritus of Stewart Information International Inc., one of the three subsidiaries. The other two are Stewart Title Guaranty de Mexico SA de CV, Stewart's underwriter in Mexico, and Stewart Title Ltd., Stewart's underwriter in the United Kingdom. Mr. Skalka has been general counsel and chief legal officer of Stewart Title Guaranty Co., Stewart Title Co., and Stewart Information Services Corp., three other Stewart subsidiaries, since 1993. He served previously as president of Stewart Title Insurance Co., where he continues as chairman, and has 28 years of experience in the title insurance and real estate industries, Stewart said.
