There is still a shortage in the inventory of existing homes for sale and homebuilders are resuming their activities at a rapid pace, says Glenn Clements, Stewart Title’s group president, direct operations.
The sales team is under the leadership of Ken Phillips, who has been hired as senior vice president of homebuilder and developer sales. Phillips has 16 years of experience working with homebuilders, including being senior vice president of the national homebuilder services division at an unnamed large title agency.
Besides title and escrow services, builders and developers can obtain from Stewart surety or completion bonds, environment risk insurance, commercial and personal insurance (for both the builder and the buyer) and home warranty coverage.
