Structured Finance Group Hires Former Fannie Exec

The Structured Finance Industry Group named Michael Flood, a former director in Fannie Mae’s single and multifamily divisions, as its director of advocacy.

Flood also has overseen Troubled Asset Relief Program assets for the White House Office of Management and Budget’s Financial Rescue Unit and served as a legislative assistant for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he worked on the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

In addition, Flood previously oversaw and promoted the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council’s legislative and regulatory efforts for CRE lending and structured finance with the Administration, Congress, regulatory agencies and market participants.
