TD Bank has appointed a director of retail lending sales and plans to hire roughly 100 residential mortgage staff along the East Coast of the United States.

Malcolm Hollensteiner, who previously was the mid-Atlantic regional manager for PNC Mortgage, has been named director, retail lending sales, for TD Bank’s consumer lending business.
Hollensteiner will direct both the company’s residential mortgage sales production and its consumer and credit card sales team, according to the company.
TD Bank said its residential mortgage sales production has more than doubled over the past two years. It said its new hiring efforts would focus on geographic areas from Maine to Florida.
