Ten-Year Yield Drops Steeply Below 3%

The long-term rate-indicative 10-year Treasury yield dropped steeply Monday morning, moving well below 3%.

Around noon on Monday, the 10-year yield, which had been as low as 2.93% on the day was at 2.95%, according to Yahoo Finance.

Until Monday, the benchmark yield had been relatively higher in July, rising to levels close to 3.2% at one point.
