I am writing this article having just completed an "intense" and very productive two-day Platinum Member meeting so I am feeling pretty pumped.
Will you drink? Don't worry. I am not referring to Jim Jones or drinking cool aid. Rather, I am referring to the old adage of "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." My platinum members fly in from all over the country to drink. But they are in Platinum exactly for that reason. They are implementers. Not just little actions but we all refer to as "massive action" and guess what. They are getting big results, not small increases.
Don't worry. I am not trying to sell you my Platinum program. There are no spots available anyway. But the lessons to be learned from this group are huge. First you will need to change your mindset. Most real, positive change must first occur in your mind: In what motivates you; in how you view yourself; in how committed you are to really implement.
These people are seeing big increases in lifestyle and in income. I don't teach them to work harder. Just smarter. Most are now working less than 40 hours a week and many are earning a nice six-figure income, even now! In fact one just earned $43,312 last month. One of the key rules at these closed-door meetings is that we all agree not to share information that is discussed. That way it becomes a good way to share and everyone feels safe. Do you do that with your staff? Do they feel safe at meetings? Free to really express themselves?
At this last meeting one of our members got up and explained what he had accomplished since our last meeting. As I looked around the room it was really amazing. Everyone had a look of shock and disbelief on their faces. He didn't even sound or act like the person we had met for the first time at the last meeting.
He had found his niche and had closed eight loans with an average $16,000 in commissions. Not one of these eight clients ever questioned his rates or fees. And best of all, he had now perfected his marketing to the point where he can rely on this type of scenario each and every month.
Things for you to learn from this:
1. He was coachable. Not everyone is.
2. He picked his niche and each day learns more and more.
3. He created a system that can generate these deals each and every month.
4. He believed he could. Not everyone believes they can earn $16,000 on a deal and most would never believe they could do eight loans a month with that fee. Do you believe you can? Don't feel bad if your answer is no. Just realize that you need to fix yourself and your perception of what you are worth.
5. He took massive action and received a massive payoff.
So now we will take you to the water, but will you drink? The Bottom Line: Your mindset - and only your mindset - controls your success and/or failure. Only you decide! There are plenty of lemons out there - now go make some lemonade!
