As with every issue of this newsletter I will share with you many ideas you can instantly apply to your business and your personal life. Here is an article that is particularly fitting to the changes we are currently experiencing in our industry as we move from a refinance market to a purchase market.
In my opinion success and failure happens upstairs - in your brain. It actually takes more energy to be negative than to be positive. You all have people in your office and maybe even at home that are negative. They are constantly down and telling you that what you are trying to accomplish is never going to happen.
You must be careful; these people are contagious!
Stay as far away from them as possible. Think positively. One of the best ways to do this I learned from Napoleon Hill. It's called "wealth reminders." For example, right here on my computer is a million dollar bill. If you have ever been to one of my seminars than you probably got one from me.
I use the million dollar bill, money pens, and other symbols as constant wealth reminders. To be fair, I wasn't always so positive. It's easy to be upbeat when things are going well. But the real work is staying positive, and imagining and believing in your success, when things are not going so well. And that is the most important time to stay positive.
Things to do now:
1. Start putting up your own wealth reminders. Is there a car or home or some other object you have always dreamed of? Get a photo of it and put it up where you will see it every day.
2. Then make a vision in your mind seeing yourself already in possession of it. Make it so passionate that it becomes an obsession. A burning desire.
3. Get negative people out of your life. Sounds harsh? I hope so because there is no room for being polite or politically correct with someone who will poison you and turn your dreams into a nightmare.
4. Remember - success and failure are both easy to attain. It just depends what you set your mind to. Why not set it on success?
