Loan Think

The Loan Expert

Due to the fact there are only so many hours in the day and regardless of the calendar you are using there are only eight days in the week, you must make the right decisions every day or your time will get away from you without added value.

So, what are some ways to help you make the best/right decisions that you may have overlooked?

Simply be more inquisitive, hold your "partners" to a higher standard, ask more questions and do not get in a hurry to make a decision about spending money or more importantly your time.

The keystone to all of this is, you must time block your day in order to get the important things done that you have decided are important when you made the decision to include them on your list. It is very difficult to stick to a hard time blocking regimen but I know from experience that it works. Even a few consultants would recommend the practice.

One of the most important items that you must include in your daily activities is to execute on marketing plans that work for you whether you have the swine flu or not. Recently a mortgage originator told me that he has no marketing plan in place to automatically generate leads and that he must go out each day looking for loans - and he must beat out all of the other bottom feeders for same. Why?

Perhaps this originator selected marketing programs too quickly and ran out of money. Perhaps he selected referral partners too quickly that wasted his time. Perhaps he had decided not to invest at all.

The point is that you must be careful in your decision to spend your time and your money. You must select proven programs and be careful to select referral partners that have the grit to stay with it in this market.

Not too much specific advice, but good advice nonetheless.
