How was your week? Last week's article focused on helping you help your customers qualify for a loan by referring you to a qualified credit repair company that I know and trust to assist you in your business.
When I wrote last Friday's article, I had no idea what Monday would bring.
This week, as I am completing this article, we have discovered that my wife's stepmother is dying of a sickness that we did not know she even had last Friday. Ever had that type of week? It has caused us all too really ask a few an important questions:
What is truly important?
What is really relevant?
Helping people? Yes. Without a doubt, the opportunity to help people in this business is rewarding. It is actually very important.
It is also important to do well for yourself while doing good for others. It is a concept that should be pervasive in your business dealings. As this week's reality check for me so clearly articulates, today is important. Today is really what we have. Actually, it is our only asset.
Tomorrow? Of course I am going to continue to plan for the future - I even plan to enjoy it. But without a doubt I want to appreciate, enjoy and respect life today.
Regardless of what you face, and how you feel, and what is going on in your life, no matter what you will encounter today, regardless of every single solitary issue and fact of business life that we are trying to control, nothing is as important as deciding to embrace this fragile life. It seems that the more fragile a situation, the higher its value.
So, as I said last week in Vegas at the Credit Repair Boot Camp, if you don't have a family that cares about you, I recommend that you get one. How? Show love and appreciation. And above all, affirm everyone that you meet. Affirmation is the lifeblood of all relationships.
Embracing what is truly important and meaningful is the definition of true success.
