Loan Think

The Loan Expert

It's obvious but you still do it.Do what? Waste time and mental energy by asking yourself this question: What the heck is wrong with (you fill in the blank)? What are they thinking?

It happens to me all the time. A family member, a business associate, a vendor, a customer makes a statement or acts in a particular way that just makes you realize that they are either really not thinking, drunk or dumb, or sometimes scared and don't really know how to handle the fear so they "act out." Seriously, do you know these same people?

It is easy to analyze the faults of others and just as easy to spend a lot of time hashing the conversation over and over and over again in your mind or even out loud. But do you realize that spending mental energy like this is not only a waste of time but is the lowest form of thought?

The best way I have found to stop this time waster is to realize you too have many areas that need improvement and that these areas of lack are as obvious to your mentors (people you should be spending time with because they are smarter than you) as others' faults are to you.

"OK great, Joel, but how do I make this change?" It takes simple recognition, the desire and ability to change and then you must contentiously make the decision to arrest your actions each and every time you relapse. You must also commit to new actions to replace the old ineffective time and energy wasters. No quick fix just good old fashion effort. But you can do it. I know you can.We all have the need to improve ourselves. You can start today by finding a book, a life improvement coach or joining my performance enhancing Creating Wealth and Jump Start webinar series.
