George Deehan, president of Sunset Financial Resources Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., has been named to the additional post of chief executive officer of the real estate investment trust, and Rodney Bennett has been named chairman of the REIT.Mr. Deehan, 63, who was recently named president and chief operating officer of the REIT, succeeds Bert Watson, who has resigned as CEO and as chairman of the board, Sunset Financial reported. Mr. Bennett, 64, has been a director of Sunset Financial since 2003. The REIT also announced that Charles Wolcott, president and CEO of Recon Corp., has been named to Sunset Financial's board. Patrick J. Callan Jr. has been named president of One Liberty Properties Inc., Great Neck, N.Y., as of Jan. 3, 2006.The date may be accelerated if Mr. Callan's current responsibilities as senior vice president of First Washington Realty permit, One Liberty Properties said. Mr. Callan, a member of One Liberty Properties' board of directors since June 2002, was previously employed for 17 years by Kimco Realty Corp. in various capacities, including director of real estate and vice president. Stuart J. Beebe has been named president and chief executive officer of CNL Retirement Properties Inc., a real estate investment trust based in Orlando, Fla.Mr. Beebe, who replaces Thomas J. He was previously chief financial officer of CNL Real Estate Group, and spent 15 years with Lincoln Property Co. as a senior vice president, CNL Retirement said. George S. Livermore, president of First American Real Estate Solutions, has been named to the additional post of president of The First American Corp.'s Property Information Group.In that position, Mr. Livermore will oversee Data Trace and Data Tree as well as the group's staff, First American said. Mr. Livermore became president of First American RES in 1997, when Experian (formerly TRW Information Systems & Services) merged its real estate information businesses with First American's Real Estate Information Services Division. He began his career in real estate information in 1984 at Dynacomp, which was later acquired by TRW. First American RES is based in Anaheim, Calif.

Joanne Berkowitz has been promoted to executive vice president and chief enterprise risk officer of The PMI Group Inc., Walnut Creek, Calif., effective Oct. 1.Ms. Berkowitz, who joined PMI in 1983, was most recently group senior vice president for enterprise risk management and chief enterprise risk officer. Her risk management responsibilities include the company's U.S. mortgage insurance operations, as well as international subsidiaries and strategic investments, the company said. Fred Bolstad has been named managing director of wholesale lending at CitiMortgage, St. Louis, effective Oct. 1.Mr. Bolstad joined CitiMortgage in 2001 as national sales director for its Smith Barney and employee channels, the company said. Earlier this year, his responsibilities were expanded to include sales oversight of the Citibank lending and corporate channels of CitiMortgage's retail lending business.
