Mortgage rates increased slightly during the week ending Sept. 11, according to data released Thursday by Freddie Mac.

Meanwhile, rates for 15-year fixed-rate mortgages climbed two basis points, to 3.26%. Five-year adjustable-rate loans had an average interest rate of 2.99%, or 2 basis points higher than last week.
"Mortgage rates were up slightly this week, following the increase in 10-year Treasury yields, despite last week's disappointing employment report," said Frank Nothaft, chief economist at Freddie Mac, in a press release Thursday.
