October Home Prices Up 4.5% from 2013: Black Knight

Black Knight Financial Services reported Monday that U.S. home prices were up 4.5% in a year-over-year comparison during the month of October.

October's prices were also up 0.1% from the month before, according to Black Knight's housing price index. The index uses data from both property and loan data collected by the company from over 18,500 ZIP codes.

Montana, Texas and Utah saw the biggest home price bumps, while Connecticut, Vermont and New Jersey saw the largest declines.
